本文旨在探討弗朗索瓦.朱利安的「間距」理論對漢語神學的方法論意義。文章以朱利安《摩西或中華:文化間距論》為文本基礎,系統梳理其「間距」理論的具體展開。「間距」不同於基於同一性前提的靜態「差異」比較,它是一種旨在通過維持張力以開啟「之間」的動態策略。朱利安去形而上學的「之間」觀與神學對絕對「之外」的宣稱存在本質衝突,成為該理論應用於漢語神學時的限度。儘管存在形而上學的分歧,但間距理論在方法論層面對漢語神學仍具有重要增益:它確立間距本身在漢語神學中存在的正當性,亦能在護教學層面藉異質文化促進自身發展,更在現實政治與意識形態語境中提供自我節制的警醒和獨立性辯護。

This article aims to explore the methodological significance of the theory of "écart" (gap/interval) proposed by François Jullien for Sino-Christian Theology. Taking François Jullien's Moïse ou la Chine: Quand ne se déploie pas l'idée de Dieu as its textual basis, this article systematically outlines the concrete unfolding of his theory. Distinct from static comparisons of différence based on the premise of identity, écart is a dynamic strategy aimed at opening up an "entre" (in-between) space by maintaining tension. However, Jullien's de-metaphysicalized view of the "entre" is in essential conflict with theology's claim to an absolute "Zhi wai" (Outside), which therefore constitutes the limitation of this theory when applied to Sino-Christian Theology. But despite these metaphysical divergences, the theory of écart still offers significant benefits at the methodological level: it establishes the legitimacy of the existence of écart itself within Sino-Christian Theology, facilitates self-development in apologetics by drawing upon heterogeneous cultures, and provides a caveat of self-restraint and a defense of independence within the contexts of realpolitik and ideology.
