以親子桌遊培養兒童創造力發展之實作

Cultivating children's creativity through parent-child tabletop game: a practical study

摘要


創造力是人類解決問題時,必經的重要思考歷程;創造力不僅是知識經濟的基礎,亦是提升人民素質的關鍵,更是迎向未來世界的重要能力。遊戲是兒童發展抽象思考能力的必經過程,亦被視為一種創造思想的行為,故以桌上遊戲為教具,順應兒童的天性,點燃學習熱忱,提供本研究創作的靈感。此外,許多前行研究皆指出遊戲是啟發兒童創造力的途徑,利用桌上遊戲結合繪畫創作,亦具促進創造力發展之可能,故本研究欲結合「繪畫創作」與「故事敘述」之概念,研發一款獨特、自由度高且適合親子共同參與的桌上遊戲,希冀此桌遊能輔助成人玩家分析遊戲結果,同時紀錄兒童創造力成長的歷程,洞見其創造力持續增長的可能性。經研究結果顯示,三組(幼兒組、低年級組與高年級組)後測分數皆優於前測,其中又以幼兒組創造力分數進步幅度最大,家長或教育工作者只要能夠掌握正確的方法及適合的教具,不論任何年齡層的兒童,其創造力皆可被培養與訓練。

Creativity denotes a necessary thinking process in problem-solving. It is considered the foundation of the knowledge economy, a key to improving literacy, and a critical ability to adapt to the future. As an act of creative thinking, play is a process that children must undergo to develop abstract thinking ability. Accordingly, this study created a tabletop game as the teaching material to inspire children's learning enthusiasm while considering their aptitudes. Many references have indicated that games serve as a pathway to inspire children's creativity. Tabletop games combined with drawing also holds the potential to promote creativity development. Therefore, the unique tabletop game developed in this study incorporates both creative drawing and storytelling to facilitate immense freedom in learning and enable parents and children to play together. This game is expected to help adult players analyze game results and record the process of creativity development in child players, thereby providing insights into the children's potential for continual development of creativity. Research results have shown that the post-test scores of all three groups (preschool, lower-grade, and upper-grade groups) were better than the pre-test scores. Among them, the preschool group exhibited the greatest improvement in creativity scores. If parents or educators can find the correct methods and suitable tools, creativity can be nurtured and trained at any stage.
