Archival materials pertaining to H. H. Kung (Kung Hsiang-hsi, Kong Xiangxi) and housed at Oberlin College Archives consist of his student records, alumnus file, official correspondence with the Oberlin administration in his capacity of Ming Hsien School principal and as a member of the Board of Trustees of the Oberlin Shansi Memorial Association, as well as personal letters to his missionary friends in the United States. The coverage of these primary sources spans from the 1900s to the 1960s, which providesa valuable perspective for scholars to conduct research on the life of H. H. Kung, the history of China' s modern education, the history of the late Qing and the Republic period, and the history of Western missionaries in China.
