一、從九○年代到千禧 少兒劇由學校、小劇場這些小眾活動逐漸發展至較大型的製作，觀眾層擴大，大型演出更於節目或藝術節成為受矚目的項目。二、少兒戲劇的現況－解構一些受歡迎戲劇之元素1.反映生活，具時代氣息（觀塘劇團「日出之孩子」題材取自爭議性的童黨新聞，「千禧孩子」從青少年中心背景出發）。2.豐富想像力、科幻元素（「攪笑博士滿天星」以科幻意念回到童年，流暢地轉換場景，群戲熱鬧，兒童觀眾十分投入）。3.經典再創作，注入時代新意（中英劇團「丁燈」理念文化的「童話王子」、香港兒童文藝協會「玫瑰和萬年青」）。4.綜藝多元化、幽默趣味（劇場組合「靚靚巫婆唔見左」對白讓人發笑，演出配合魔術、激光等舞台效果，別具一格）。三、展望－戲劇深入少兒生活，真正造福少兒1.從平面到動感－兒協通過以戲劇演譯創作故事，推廣文學創作。2.文學創作理念及意旨又有助戲劇發展，提高劇作精神層次（如人物創作的演變，留給少年思考空間）。3.戲劇應滲透生活，從家庭、學校做起（小故事劇團隨處可演，不需華服美景；環保劇由小演員以廢物做道具及服裝，親身體會環保最為重要）。

This dissertation attempts to make a thorough review of the development of Hong Kong's young and children's theatre over the past decade. It is observed that since the 90's, dram a production and theatrical performances have been increasing in numbers of titles and shows, and become popular for a wide range of audiences. Good drama can help to cultivate children's creativeness, and bring great fun to children as a whole. Looking back on the efforts of various voluntary private organizations in promoting theatrical art, the paper reveals the positive elements and qualities that the theatres concerned have to bring about such progress and boom in the past years. These organizations include Kwun Tong Theatre. Bestreben Drama Association, Theatre Ensemble, Chung Ying Theatre, Ming Ri Theatre and Hong Kong Children's Musical Theatre. In addition, the government of Hong Kong has also played a role in encouraging drama promotion in schools. It is suggested that to further enhance Hong Kong's young theatre development and uplift its qualities, work has to be done in publishing the literature scripts, shifting the stage from expensive props and decoration to something available for the common people, andh exploring direction for themes focusing on enlightenment of life more than mere at the entertainment and fun level.
