Metal press technology is currently widely used in various fields and has a very important position in metal part fabrication. In the machinery manufacturing industry, it often utilizes stamping presses with punching, forming, bending, drawing, and compression process to produce various industrial and household sheet metal products. Taiwan's stamping press industry occupies a place in the world. However, Taiwan faces challenges of low-priced stamping press from mainland China and high-end ones from Japan and South Korea. Therefore, Taiwan's stamping press must move towards ＂intelligence＂ to enhance competitiveness and added value. This article analyzes the current industry status and technology of Taiwan's stamping press and further investigate how to reach added value for Taiwan's stamping press industry.
