With the technological development of intelligent manufacturing and Industry 4.0, the information systems have been transformed from the auxiliary tools in the past to the indispensable main role in management and manufacturing. The purpose of this article is for businessman to understand the roles and uses of information systems such as ERP (Enterprise Resource Planning), MES (Manufacturing Execution System), SCADA (Supervisory Control and Data Acquisition), Dashboard, APS (Advanced Planning and Scheduling), etc. In addition, through the description of the information system software architecture, hardware architecture, software functional specifications, import procedures, etc. to provide as the import planning reference for enterprises' information system when moving toward intelligent manufacturing. Shorten the time for enterprises to import information systems, and accelerate the technological upgrading and transformation of enterprises in management and manufacturing.
