摘要

西藏食蟲虻Microstylum oberthurii Wulp, 1878是臺灣常見的食蟲虻，但是牠們的自然史卻鮮少被觀察。筆者總結七年的野外觀察，描述其產卵行為及發現新羽化的成蟲，而西藏食蟲虻的成蟲在臺灣被認為出現在六月至八月，本文亦提供新羽化成蟲、產卵雌蟲、卵及初齡幼蟲之照片。

While Microstylum oberthurii Wulp, 1878 is a common species of robber fly in Taiwan, there are few records of its natural history. In the present study, the author describes the oviposition behavior of M. oberthurii, as well as the behavior of newly eclosed adults, based on seven years' worth of field observations. In Taiwan, M. oberthurii adults are known to occur from June to August. Photos of M. oberthurii observations are provided, including a newly eclosed adult, oviposition, eggs and a first-instar larva.
