摘要
一、P-3C型機是我國首次引進兼具海上巡邏(MPA)和反潛(ASW)等多重功能的長程定翼飛機，能擔負海上各種類型的作戰任務，具備「多重任務功能海上巡邏機」(MMA)特性，足以應付21世紀日愈複雜的海上多重任務威脅。隨該機引進的「海上任務支援中心」，將是本軍首次接觸能在陸岸上直接支援前線機隊執行任務，並能即時掌握海上任務全景的新形態作戰模式，將改變本軍對多功能海上巡邏機的運用思維。二、本文就P-3C AIP型機的各型裝備及性能分析，再參考美、日兩國機隊部署與運用經驗，並就臺海威脅與環境因素考量，提出P-3C型機的未來運用構想，尤其就「多功能任務支援中心」的運用，將借重美國「戰術支援中心(TSC)」及日本「反潛作戰支援中心(ASWOC)」的運用經驗，做為本軍未來規劃與運用參考。期能藉此引發更多的迴響，以增進該型機的有效運用，共同防衛臺海安全。
