Ten New Records of Cardinalfishes from Taiwan, with a Synopsis of the Family Apogonidae
臺灣海域産天竺鯛科魚類之分類整理兼記十種本省産之新記錄種
摘要
A total of sixty-two species, including three undeterminated species belonging to eleven genera and two subfamilies are recognized in the Family Apogonidae of Taiwan. Among them, the following ten species are firstly reported: Gymnapogon philippinus (Herre), Nealmia octospina Smith and Radcliffe, Siphamia majimai Matsubara and Iwai, Rhabdamia cypselurus Weber, Apogon semiornatus Peters, A. lateralis Valenciennes, A. multilineatus Bleeker, A. taeniophorus Regan, Archamia buruensis (Bleeker), and Sphaeramia orbicularis (Kuhl and Van Hasselt). Neamia, Sphaeramia, and Pseudamiops are newly added genera to the apogonids of Taiwan. Diagnosis, distribution, or remarks of the above ten new records and three doubtful species as well as other eleven species which were listed but not described in detail are now provided in the present paper. A synopsis and key for all sixty-two species are also provided together with their color photos.

本研究係報導筆者等目前從事整理台灣産天竺鯛科魚類種類及其分類地位之之結果。目前確知本省産之天竺鯛共有二亞科、十一屬、六十二種，包括三種未定種。其中共計有十種天竺鯛是本省的新記錄種。它們分別是Gymnapogon philippinus（Herre）菲律賓裸天竺鯛，Neamia octospina Smith and Radcliffe八棘扁天竺鯛，Siphamia majimai Matsubara and Iwai馬島氏管天竺鯛，Rhabdamia cypselurus Weber瘦箭天竺鯛，Apogon semiornatus Peters雙斜帶天竺鯛，A. lateralis Valenciennes側帶天竺鯛，A. multilineatus Bleeker多線天竺鯛，A. taeniophorous Regan褐帶天竺鯛，Archamia buruensis（Bleeker）橫帶長鰭天竺鯛，及Sphaeramia orbicularis（Kuhl and Van Hasselt）圓斑高身天竺鯛。其中的Neamia，Sphaeramia及Pseudamiops三屬係本省之新記錄屬。除上述十種新記錄及三種未定種之外，本文並描述另外十一種過去國內曾發表但未曾描述之天竺鯛種類，包括其形態、特徵、分布及註記等。此外文中亦對全科所有六十二種魚類作一扼要整理同時附以檢索表及大多數種類之彩色圖片以利查考。
