要想开掘隐藏在《窄门》字面意义背后的深层意图，必须从其艺术表达方式即来源于圣经的隐喻性整体表达方式入手。《窄门》是一个由圣经的象征符码“伊甸园－天堂＂和“窄门－十字架＂组成的双重隐喻世界，它们之间环环相扣，层层深入，全面深刻地展示了作品主题的精神实质和价值意义：寻找精神家园。

In order to explore the deep meaning behind the letter of The Narrow Door, we have to start with the artistic portraying method as well as the whole metaphor portraying method originated from the Holy Bible. The Narrow Door is a double metaphor world that is composed of two metaphor symbols of the Holy Bible which are ＂from the Garden of Eden to the paradise＂ and ＂from the narrow door to the cross＂. Both of the two symbols link and penetrate with each other, showing the spiritual central point and value meanings of this work, which is seeking for the homestead of spirit.
