"Egils Saga" is an outstanding representative of the "Sagas of Icelanders" within medieval Nordic literature. As a historical legend about the Christianization of Iceland, the special feature of this work is that the author develops the storyline within a framework of biblical historical imagery. Based on this framework, the author not only makes "Egil Sagas" an extension of the biblical narrative, but also makes the protagonists and all of their main deeds into antitypes of the relevant elements in the Bible through a typological method. This article attempts to explore the typological narrative techniques in "Egils Saga" through textual analysis and show how the regional history of Iceland represented by Egil is organically integrated into the wider historical narrative of the Bible.
