As a long-time water inhabitant in the Pearl River Delta region, Water-Faring Community (Dan Jia) has its own unique marine culture and water community life style. Currently, only a part is included in cultural relic's protection units or intangible cultural heritage. This article attempts to sort out the existing settlements of Danjia in the Guangdong-Hong Kong-Macao Greater Bay Area from the perspective of urban heritage, and discuss its existing classifications, hoping to cause some cultural concern and protection of Water-Faring Community (Dan Jia).
