Cultural soft power is an important index to measure a country's comprehensive national strength. Improving cultural soft power has become a core element of great power strategy. While intangible cultural heritage is an important cultural resource, protecting China's intangible cultural heritage and pushing it to the international stage is an important way for us to show the image of China to the world, convey the true and comprehensive Chinese culture, and obtain a fair discourse power. In 2007, Taishan shadow puppetry was rated as a national intangible cultural heritage. The sixth generation inheritor, Mr. Fan Zhengan, was warmly received by Premier Wen Jiabao.
