Discussion on preconditioning effect of the muscle damage caused by hiking in Keelung Mountain

Background: The protective effect conferred by non- damaging or minor-damaging low-intensity ECC or maximal isometric contractions at a long muscle length. However, there is no research to discuss the situation for mountain hiking. Purpose: To explore the response of protective effect to the muscle damaging index of Keelung Mountain hiking. Method: Recruit 20 volunteer exercise subjects and perform basic endurance testing (gradient +10%, speed from 2km/h to 7km/h, until the subjects can no longer proceed smoothly or stop at 7km/h), And get personal aerobic and anaerobic thresholds. Using the individual aerobic threshold speed, the balance sequence method was used to divide them into two groups (test group, n=10; control group, n=10). Both groups were required to perform Keelung Mountain walking, while the experimental group performed a test (personal aerobic threshold speed*0.6, slope 10%, carrying 8Kg) for 10 minutes the day before the walking. The independent sample t test was used to explore the difference in muscle damage (MD) between the two groups, and the single factor variance analysis was used to explore the difference in MD at different time points. The significance level of the study was set as α = .05. Conclusion: Under the conditions of this study, the benefits of repetitive training effects cannot be shown. The CK activity of short -term (1hr) suburban mountain hikers cannot be an indicator basis for people with exercise habits. In addition, through scales and tests, the first day after hiking is the most painful, and the third day is close to the basic line. The research data can be used as a reference for recreational hikers.
