On December 28, 2019, a new type of pneumonia case infected by an unknown virus was firstly reported in Wuhan, China and later caused the lockdown of the city for 43 days. Soon after, similar cases, infected by the same unknown virus which later was named as Covid-19 or Coronavirus by WHO, kept being reported in Italy, Iran, UK, US, and rapidly pervaded all around the world. As an infectious disease with such level of transmission, the best and traditional way, probably the only way to control the highly infectious COVID-19 or any infectious disease, to control the infection amongst the population is by vaccination. After a year of joined efforts by the world's health professionals since the discovery of the virus, there are several vaccines being inoculated in different regions around the world. In this article, different candidates of COVID-19 vaccine from America in particular as well as other countries are introduced and compared. Positives and negatives of the vaccines in various dimensions, including efficacy, persistence against mutants, time efficiency, etc., are compared and discussed. Additionally, the support given by FDA in policies on the development process of SARS-CoV-2 vaccines is illustrated and its effect on the time for the vaccines to be successfully developed and approved is also discussed.
