Summary of Traditional Chinese Medicine for Comorbidity between Tic Disorder and ADHD in Children

摘要

This paper has reviewed the research situation of traditional Chinese medicine in the treatment for tic disorder in children with comorbid attention‐deficit/hyperactivity disorder in recent years. TCM treatment for TD + ADHD is mainly based on oral Chinese medicine preparation, which focused on syndrome types of liver wind with phlegm, spleen deficiency and hyperactivity of liver, yin deficiency of liver and kidney, qi stagnation transforming into fire. Based on the principles of "holistic concept" and "syndrome differentiation and treatment", TCM has achieved certain curative effect in improving the symptoms of children. However, the pathogenesis of the comorbidity needs to be further clarified and the basic research data of traditional Chinese medicine is insufficient, as well as the clinical treatment is still not enough. In the future, further researches on pharmacology and clinical aspects are still needed.
