Study on the Change of Japanese Cognition of Bushido Spirit after Meiji Restoration

摘要

Bushido is an important part of Japanese culture, and it has a profound impact on Japan's historical process and moral development. Yamada Yoji's samurai trilogy uses Bushido as the theme, and has created a distinctive image of samurai. Under the background of the new era that the shogunate is about to fall apart and the Meiji Restoration is brewing, they began to reflect and explore the spirit of Bushido. With the progress of the times, people's thinking has become more rational, and the Japanese began to question the traditional Bushido spirit. While learning and passing on the traditional Bushido spirit, they also have a new understanding of the traditional Bushido spirit. This change is mainly reflected in the formation of new values in terms of hierarchy, women's status, and the outlook on life and death. This change in values has a certain significance for us to study the changes in Japanese national character.
