Analysis and Policy Recommendations on the Transformation and Upgrading of Processing Trade of Mechanical and Electrical Products in Guangdong Province

摘要

For a long time, the export of mechanical and electrical products has occupied an important position in the total export volume of Guangdong Province, and has a vital influence on the economic development of Guangdong Province and even the national economy. From 2009 to 2018, the total export of mechanical and electrical products in Guangdong accounted for more than 60% of the total import and export of Guangdong. Through the introduction of the transformation and upgrading theory of processing trade and the analysis of the current situation of mechanical and electrical products processing trade in Guangdong Province, this paper points out the problems existing in the foreign trade of mechanical and electrical products in Guangdong Province, and puts forward some suggestions that Guangdong Province should rely on Guangdong‐Hong Kong‐Macao Greater Bay Area to accelerate the industrial upgrading of mechanical and electrical products enterprises, optimize the consumption structure.
