摘要

This paper focuses on the development of BGP, Border Gateway Protocol. The work researches the evolution of BGP policies and analyzes elements that influence the configuration of these policies. Some problems BGP faced in the past several years are listed and corresponding solutions of these problems are discussed. It also shows how applications are affected by BGP routing technology and the research directions of each stage in BGP developing history.
