In the concentration process of polyvinylidene fluoride (PVDF) dispersible emulsion, the emulsifier plays a very important role on the morphology and stability of the emulsion. This study focus on the influence of emulsifier on the stability of PVDF concentrated emulsion, including viscosity, particle size distribution, static stability and centrifugal stability. Five kinds of non‐ionic emulsifiers and four kinds of anionic emulsifiers were selected. The results showed that emulsifier Poloxam188 (P188) and Sodium Lauryl Ether Sulfate(SLS) had the best centrifugal and static stability. The PVDF concentrated emulsion prepared with P188 as emulsifier has a centrifugal stability of 3600 rpm and a static stability of 20 days. The PVDF concentrated emulsion prepared with SLS as emulsifier has a centrifugal stability of 3200 rpm and a static stability of 15 days. The two emulsifiers were combined in different proportions, and the results showed that the composite emulsifiers had a certain synergic effect, which could further improve the stability of PVDF concentrated emulsion. When P188: SLS= 6:4, the emulsion stability was the best, the centrifugal stability was 3700 rpm, and the static stability was 26 days.
