Research on the Path of Integrating Centennial Party History Education into Ideological and Political Education in Colleges and Universities in the New Era

One hundred years of Party history contains profound theoretical resources, rich practical experience and great spiritual power. It is of great significance for the integration of centennial Party history into ideological and political education of colleges and universities to implement the fundamental task of fostering virtue through education. The CPC's 100-year journey has given Party history education the connotation of the times. The centennial Party history education has created a favourable opportunity for ideological and political education, enriched the core content of ideological and political education in colleges and universities, and highlighted the leading function of ideological and political education in colleges and universities. Colleges and universities should start from the four dimensions of "knowledge", "emotion", "intention", and "action" of political identity, and achieve the sublimation of young students in political direction, political emotion, political determination and political commitment by giving full play to the functions of curriculum education, culture education, organization education and practice education, so as to improve the effectiveness of integrating centennial Party history education into the ideological and political education of colleges and universities. Party history is the theoretical logic thread and valuable gist of the "four histories", and is the core of the "four histories". Party history education is history education, but also political education. In the new era, the implementation of the fundamental task of fostering virtue through education in colleges and universities requires that party history education be raised to a new level. General Secretary Xi Jinping's speech at the mobilization meeting for the study and education of Party history has raised the significance of Party history education to a new height, and has also given ideological and political education a new connotation. In the new era of ideological and political education in colleges and universities facing many challenges, taking the 100th anniversary of the founding of the Communist Party of China (CPC) as an opportunity, integrate Party history education into ideological and political education in colleges and universities, and guide young students to deeply identify with why the CPC "can", why Marxism "works", and why socialism with Chinese characteristics is "good", which plays a positive role in solving the problems of "what kind of people to cultivate, how to cultivate people, and for whom to cultivate people".
