An Improved Consensus Protocol based on Vote Mechanism for Blockchain Using Chord with Ripple-Effect Scheme

In this paper, we propose a method to improve PoV consensus mechanism. By add assistant, it greatly improves the working efficiency of butler. Butler will communicate with assistant. The communication protocol is based on the structure of chord blockchain. Li [1] proposed PoV method. During the process of consensus, only one butler is assigned to collect the votes of commissioners. However, it might take a longer time for a butler to collect all votes. However, we suggest to have a assistant to help butler. With assistants help, a butler can reduce the time cost to collect all votes from all commissioners. According to protocol of chord blockchain, it could reduce the time affected by the geographical location. The contributions by improving the PoV are listed below. (1) We add a assistant to help butler to increase the speed to collect all votes. (2) A assistant can help butler to collect votes from farther area. As a result, it prevents a butler from collecting votes for a far-way location. It reduces the time for a butler to collect all votes, and it keeps a butler from waiting the response from farther area.(3) The communication protocol between butler and assistant is chord blockchain. After assistant complete collecting votes in its responsible area, assistant can send voting result to butler through chord blockchain. It speeds up the process of consensus. Finally, the simulation presents the result of comparing with PoV consensus.(3) The communication protocol between butler and assistant is chord blockchain.
