随着马来西亚政府于第九大马计划中敦促各大专院校把汉语列为外语课程的选项,对外汉语教学事业在马来西亚蓬勃地发展起来。作为海外汉语圈之一,马来西亚的对外汉语教学自有其独特之处。就以词汇教学而言,汉语教师除了需要选择规范的汉语词汇之外,尚要考虑马来西亚华语词汇的教学。然而对于国别化词汇教学的词汇选择研究,目前学界大多集中于日本、韩国、或以英语为母语的国家,针对马来西亚的对外汉语词汇研究就略显薄弱。有鉴于此,本文首先回顾对外汉语词汇教学选择的研究现状,在此基础上重点讨论三个原则:“本土性”、“针对性”和“实用性”,并结合彭亨大学对外汉语词汇教学的实际词汇例子说明如何取舍教学词汇。
The Malaysian government encourages all institutions of higher learning to offer foreign language courses to their students. The teaching of Chinese as a foreign language in Malaysia has grown in popularity. As Mandarin is widely spoken in Malaysia, teaching the language as a foreign language in this country has its own distinctive features. The Mandarin teacher has to take note of the standard Chinese vocabulary and the Malaysian Chinese vocabulary in his work. In the study of vocabulary selection, the basic focus is on Japan, Korea and various English-speaking countries and the case of Malaysian Chinese vocabulary has received scant attention. This paper is a review of the current progress of the study of Malaysian Chinese vocabulary by focusing on three aspects of "localness", "objectiveness" and "practicalness" by using examples from the vocabulary teaching of Chinese as a foreign language in Universiti Malaysia Pahang.
