马来西亚小学历史课本里少数民族的位置及其象征性

摘要


自2014年开始,马来西亚教育部重新将历史纳入小学正课。新编课本一出版,其中尤在爱国史观“国族”建构下,过于强调主流族群的历史论述,甚受非议。今版小学四、五和六年级的历史课本不仅有常识性错误,内容选材上也缺乏多元性和世界观。少数民族的历史只具有象征性和陪衬的角色。历史视野格局太小,培养的公民素质实属有限。

History was made a subject taught in primary schools again in Malaysia in 2014. History textbooks approved by the authority caused some controversies because they put excessive emphasis on the history of the majority group to promote patriotism. In addition, these textbooks contain factual errors that may not help students gain better understanding of the world as topics covered are not diversified. In comparison, history about minority groups seems to be taking a back seat in the textbooks. On the whole, these textbooks are inadequate to promote quality citizens.
