In recent years, the concept of urban resilience and vitality has attracted the attention of all sectors of society, and it has also become a hot topic in the field of international urban and regional economic research. It is of great significance to explore ways to improve the resilience and vitality of urban economy in the post-epidemic era and promote the long-term development of urban economy. Based on the multi-angle research perspective, this paper analyzes the urban economic resilience and economic vitality, and selects six new evaluation indicators such as consumer price index to construct the evaluation system. This paper expands the research scope, selects the representatives of typical southern, northern and central cities in China, and selects 14 cities including Shanghai, Nanjing, Hangzhou, Chongqing, Guangzhou, Shenzhen, Wuhan, Hefei, Changsha, Zhengzhou, Xi 'an, Beijing, Tianjin and Jinan, and establishes PAC model to empirically study the factors that affect the economic development of cities. The conclusion of the study shows that to cushion the impact of epidemic situation on urban economy and improve the economic resilience and vitality of the city, we can start from three main aspects: expanding foreign trade, promoting industrial development and stimulating urban internal consumption. Among them, Shanghai and Guangzhou did well in 2020. Finally, based on the research conclusion, the article puts forward the countermeasures to promote long-term economic development in the post-epidemic era.
