While the network comes from digital age to the being human age, the production of art and literature works is no longer considered a privilege of culture elites, but a daily engagement for mass individuals who provide, communicate and use those works via public participative web. Poking fun at public figures, rewriting lines to make popular movies or songs sound stupid--these forms of parody are easily available and spread fast on the internet. Do parodies involve copyright infringement? No Chinese laws or judicial judgments even touched this field. This article discusses the conditions to a successful defense of fair -use in America law through Campbell case, meanwhile points out relevant issues in Chinese copyright laws.
