一帶一路下中印合拍片《功夫瑜伽》再現的印度形象

The Indian Image Represented by Chinese-Indian Co-production "Kung Fu Yoga" under the One Belt One Road Initiative

摘要


中印合拍片《功夫瑜伽》被中國視為2013年推動一帶一路政策後,積極與沿線國家展開合拍片等影視合作的具體展現,目的是希望加強中印兩國的影視合作及促進文化交流。本文援引費爾拉(N. Fairclough)的批判論述分析(Critical discourse analysis)發現,《功夫瑜伽》未能客觀地再現印度的國家形象,導致該片在中印兩國票房表現及整體評價上,都呈現了極大的反差。這對於中國希望藉由與一帶一路沿線國家開展合拍片,進而達到加強「五通」中的「民心相通」,仍將有其挑戰存在。

The Chinese-Indian co-production Kung Fu Yoga is regarded by China as a concrete manifestation in film and television of the cooperation between the countries in the Belt & Road Initiative (BRI), which was launched in 2013. The purpose of this production is to strengthen film and television cooperation as well as to promote cultural exchanges between China and India. On the basis of the critical discourse analysis of N. Fairclough, this study demonstrates that Kung Fu Yoga failed to objectively represent the image of India, which led to a remarkable contrast in box office performance and overall evolution in the two countries. Therefore, challenges exist for China in strengthening 'people's heart communication' in the 'five links' through co-productions with countries in the BRI.
