摘要

道格拉斯．羅賓遜2017年出版的《為翻譯解咒》是他的又一本「批判翻譯研究」著作。該書利用酒井直樹的理論，對翻譯研究的歐洲中心主義進行批判，指出其普世性是一種意識形態，利用身心學理論解釋了該意識形態的操作和傳播，即文明魔咒的施展，並以《道德經》在西方的翻譯為例，展現了文明話語之間的共塑機制。羅賓遜認為翻譯研究應擺脫歐洲中心主義的局限，轉向文明交互性，關注更大的歷史和文化語境。

Douglas Robinson's Exorcising Translation: Towards an Intercivilization Turn, published in 2017, is another book on "critical translation studies". In the book, Robinson, drawing on the theory of Skai Naoki, addresses critically the Eurocentrism underlying translation studies, and exposes its universalism as nothing but an ideology. Robinson illustrates the operation and circulation of the ideology, or the casting of the civilizational spell, and demonstrates the cofigurative regime of translation through an analysis of the historical stages of Laozi translation. Robinson thinks translation studies should break away from Eurocentric constraints and take the intercivilizational turn, with more focus on the larger historical and cultural context.
