Plastics Use and Sustainable Development of Food and Beverage Packaging

摘要


In recent years, promoting and producing products in a more sustainable way has become a key concern to governments, businesses and the public. The production of packaging is a huge industry and can have an enormous negative effect on the world's environment when we consider its size and the fact that it is an integral part of our life (Ebrocolor, 2016). This project focuses on how to reduce packaging waste as well as reduce unnecessary using with the aim of achieving green packaging. Thus, some secondary research collected from the internet and books are used in this paper. The findings are oriented towards two strategies which are helpful to reduce the first strategy is to promote the durability of packaging by using ecological materials in regard with cellulose Nano‐fibres. Increasing the rate of packaging recycling is the second strategy. Waste does not need to be considered as rubbish but something that can be recycled and reused to make new products.
