1798年京都始胎大堂藏板《教要序论》明确显示《教要序论》系南怀仁于1669年撰述,方豪谓《教要序论》为南怀仁1670年撰,实属有误。故方豪言“费赖之谓(怀仁著《教要序论》)有1669年版,误”之论着实欠妥,值得商榷。通过比较《教要序论》的不同版本可以发现,出版机构在再版《教要序论》过程中扮演重要角色,其对再版书目内容进行部分增删、词汇挖改,赋予其一定的时代性与科学性。另,方豪、费赖之等在其著作中所提及的上海方言译本,实有《土话教要序论》与《方言教要序论》两个完全不同的译文版本而非一个。《土话教要序论》为最早之上海方言译本,《方言教要序论》系据《土话教要序论》改编而来,二者存在较大区别。
There are some doubts that Fang Hao insists the book of Jiao Yao Xu Lun hasn't been published in 1669.By comparing the different versions of Jiao Yao Xu Lun, you can find that the publisher that may adjusts the contant with the development of the times plays an important role in the process of republishing.The two versions in Shanghai dialect, Tu Hua Jiao Yao Xu Lun and Fang Yan Jiao Yao Xu Lun which has been involved in the books of Fang Hao and Louis Pfister, are very different. Fang Yan Jiao Yao Xu Lun adapts from Tu Hua Jiao Yao Xu Lun which is the earliest version in Shanghai dialect.
