明清之际天主教传教士视野中的仁

摘要


仁的观念在明清之际天主教传教士留下的文献中经历了接受、使用到诠释的过程。仁最开始仅仅作为一种异乡的伦理规范被简单认知,并无法出现在对于天主教教义的论述中。随着认识的深化,仁开始出现在传教士对教义的翻译之中,它在爱的基本内涵上,由对嫉妒之罪的克制的指代逐步拓展到对于天主之爱的整体描述,并在这个过程中发展出一套以天主为核心的仁之本体论。与此相伴的则是传教士对于在天主教本位的基础之上对于儒家学说进行诠释与改造,最终得到的结果就是一套融合了天主教与儒家思想的概念体系。这套概念体系的彻底理解依赖于对传统外部与异质视角的脱离,将之视为对于儒家仁学的另类发展。

The concept of Ren 仁 experienced the process of acceptance, use and interpretation in the literature left by Catholic missionaries during the Ming and Qing Dynasties. Ren was initially recognized as an ethical norm of a foreign land and could not appear in the discussion of Catholic doctrine. With the deepening of cognition, Ren began to appear in the translation of the doctrine by the missionaries. In the basic connotation of love, it gradually expanded from the reference to the restraint of sin to the overall description of God's love. In this process, a system of benevolent ontology with God as the core was developed. Along with this is the missionary's interpretation and transformation of the Confucian doctrine on the basis of the Catholic standard. The result is a set of conceptual systems that combine Catholicism and Confucianism. The thorough understanding of this set of conceptual systems relies on the separation of traditional external and heterogeneous perspectives as an alternative development to Confucian benevolence.
