In the past five years, Taiwan has experienced multiple instances of electricity price freezes and hikes. To stabilize prices, the central bank (CBC) has also raised interest rates. The impact of rising electricity prices on various industries cannot be underestimated. Despite the hikes, Taiwan Power Company's operational losses remain unbalanced. To address the challenges of national energy transition and long-term electricity price increases, energy conservation has become a crucial aspect of business operations. Traditional energy-saving methods are still limited in some situations, necessitating the search for more efficient, faster, and cost-effective alternatives. The introduction of GHP (Gas Heat Pump) air conditioning equipment in 2019 provided a new option for the market. This paper will explore the outstanding effects of GHP in energy management, its practical application cases, and propose the development vision for GHP in Taiwan.
