西漢政治家、外交官陸賈處事有智慧，創造另類的養老之道，包括：一、出使南越，完成和平之旅的任務。二、當著劉邦面前，大談文武併用，才能長治久安。三、面臨危局，為了明哲保身而急流勇退，而開展終老之道。四、退而不休，仍時時關懷時局，促成將、相合作，以保衛合法政權。

Lu Jia, a politician and diplomat during the Western Han Dynasty, was a wise man who created alternative ways of spending his remaining years till death. Firstly, he was assigned to South Vietnam to complete his missions peacefully. Secondly, he was outspoken about using both the pen and the sword for a long period of stability in front of Liu Bang. Thirdly, he, when facing danger, decided to retire immediately for safety concerns, and started his ways of enjoying his remaining years till death. Lastly, after retirement, he kept as busy as ever in regards to the current political situation, helping different government officials to team up and safeguard the legal regime.
