「黃埔精神」內容於民國48年,由蔣中正先生闡述其內容:「黃埔精神就是犧牲的精神、團結的精神、負責的精神」。黃埔陸軍軍官學校創建後,藉由教育與訓練將「黃埔精神」灌注於每位學生心中,以建立國軍骨幹貫徹中央命令執行北伐、剿匪、抗日及戡亂等作戰,確保我中華民國之國祚。1949年國府於國內遭受中共挑戰,對外面臨美國斷援及蘇聯援共窘境,在國家如此重大危難之際,國軍以「黃埔精神」肩負保國衛民責任,奮勇抵抗共軍叛亂。國軍在此壓力下退守大陸西南、東南沿海島嶼及臺灣等地,李彌將軍則率部於雲南、緬甸邊區建立反共基地。在國家處與如此逆境下,滇緬邊區國軍部隊後繼無援。各級幹部領導所屬官兵弟兄發揮「黃埔精神」,在緬甸政府軍及共軍威脅的窘迫環境中堅立一隅,積極反攻大陸並收復雲南地區,雖因共軍兵力壓迫及國際諸多因素撤回臺灣,但仍因其反攻作戰讓青天白日滿地紅國旗再次短暫飄揚於大陸國土。
1959. The primary content of "Whampoo spirits" was announced to all members of National revolution army by Generalissimo Chiang, kai-shek which the "Whampoo spirits are sacrifice, united and responsible". Those standing creed of "whampoo spirits" were deeply implanted into all cadets, when the military academy established. In order to assure all cadres to carry through commands issued from central government during the Northern Expedition, against communist and Sino-Japanese War, and these assured history of Republic of China. 1949. The nationalist government faced both challenged from communist forces in country and broken off aid from US, as well as communist party received aid from USSR, during those significant crisis, revolution army follow the guideline of "Whampoo spirits" and serve as protector to our nation, against communist rebel. Under such pressures from different aspect, the nationalist government withdraws and held forces to south east coastal area and Taiwan, portion of force led by Gen. lee-mi set foot at Yuannan and Myanmar border area to establish anti-communist base. Under such difficult circumstance, nationalist forces kept on fighting without further support. All members despite of officer or enlist, strongly follow guidance of Whampoo spirits to fight against Myanmar government forces and communist force at Myanmar-China border area, conducted counterattacks to mainland China aggressively, and recovered Yuan-nan area. However, due to pressure from communist force and other international issues, our government relocated to Taiwan. Because their determined countattack sustained, our flag still flies high on mainland China.
