3D列印是將數位模型製作成三維實際物體,包含家具結合器及板類家具連接件五金。目前組合家具主要以暗樁式結合五金“偏心連接件組”亦可稱(KD:Knock down),組裝,結合方式皆以L型角接合,相對也限制它的方向,在形體上變化皆是垂直水平型體呈現,無法符合設計變化的需求。而現今市場對於板類家具需求量以倍數的成長,板類材料結合工藝美學精益求精的精神,應更多元化型體組合。而在板類材料結合五金中,以3D列印技術可研究設計多功能連接件五金。透過數位3D軟體幫助原件模型繪製,在二維模型“三叉形連接器”利用板類三向之內角度求得該夾角製作其模型。應用3D列印技術“熔融沉積成型”(FDM)積層製造,材料使用聚合物材料(PLA、ABS),快速製造偏心連接件組原型直接應用。新型偏心連接件組輔以板類材料以“三叉形連接件組”原件呈現六角形狀;且可再連續性結合無現延伸。以工業化生產制定板類材料標準化,3D列印原型量產化,減少人工製作成本降低環境污染。且豐富板類材料多變化,賦予組合家具多樣選擇。
