With the improvement of the economy and living quality in Taiwan, the hair-dressing industry is facing fierce market competition. How to keep their own characteristics, win the favor of consumers and survive in the trend of the times has already been an important challenge for operators of "traditional barbershops" and "modern barbershops". Current studies on "barbershops" have mentioned the differences between both but mostly only explained service differences and decoration styles. There are no studies on the differences, comparison and analysis of various dimensions. Therefore, in this study, the investigation and analysis are carried out by field observation, experience and interview, supplemented by semantic analysis. According to the statistics and comparison, "modern barbershops" and "traditional barbershops" are significantly different in age, number of staff, services and spatial planning, and have significant differences and characteristics in five major dimensions such as "staff, service, consumption, equipment and space".
