本論文的研究對象為由文斯.吉利根(Vince Gilligan)創作和製作的美國電視連續劇《絕命毒師》(Breaking Bad)第一季。放眼整個大中華的電視製作,目前大行其道的戲劇演出大多以愛情、宮廷歷史、市井小民的愛恨情仇為主題,鮮少像《絕命毒師》深度刻畫主要角色的內在轉變,以「毒品」為核心,並考驗愛情、友情、親情、師生之情各個層面,放射涵蓋了中年危機、家庭關係、社會經濟、青少年問題……等議題。《絕命毒師》播出後在全球造成轟動,並得到美國影視產業各大指標性獎項的專業肯定。《絕命毒師》徹底執行「反英雄」這個概念-將如同你我一般奉公守法、平凡無奇的中年人,轉變為狡詐多變、惡貫滿盈、貪婪墮落的地下主宰者,成為一個精彩的戲劇性主角。內容集結了吸睛和收視保證的負向戲劇要素:暴力、犯罪、情感背叛、利益誘惑及墮落沉淪,和寫實主義衝突激盪出爆炸性的火花。本研究將以《絕命毒師》第一季為研究標的,以亞里斯多德《詩學》的理論,深入探討《絕命毒師》劇中的情節衝突和所呈現的各種社會寫實現象,以及主要人物面對危機的心理狀態。希冀華人社會的劇本創作,能夠更多元寫實,深入刻劃生活百態,讓戲劇創作的媒材更豐富飽滿,給予觀眾情緒反思的空間。
"Breaking Bad" Season one, which is used as the main research objects of this thesis, is an American crime drama television series created and produced by Vince Gilligan. Look through all the TV productions in great China, romance, Chinese royal court melodramas, and love and hatred between ordinary people continue to dominate the market. There is rarely anything like "Breaking Bad" fully characterizes the transformation of the main character's inner state of mind. The central issue is drugs. It not only puts love, friendship, family relationship, and teacher - student relationship to the test, but also radiates in subjects like midlife crisis, family relations, socioeconomic, and juvenile problems."Breaking Bad" has got immense global popularity and received multiple iconic awards in U.S. audio-visual industry. "Breaking Bad" completely presents the concept of an anti-hero, Walter White, who is an ordinary and disciplined middle-aged person, turns into a sly, wicked, greedy villain for his "Drug Empire Business." He then became a brilliant and remarkable drama character. It includes elements in high ratings, such as violence, crimes, betrayals, seduction, and self destruction, that all are negative but attractive. The conflicts between realism and intricate plots make a huge explosion. The research will be based on the theory of Aristotle's "Poetics" and deliberated on plots, conflicts, and realistic styles of social phenomenons. Then I will analyse what the main character's mental statuses are. I hope that the script writing in Chinese society will tell stories of all walks of life and be more realistic and versatile. May the materials of drama creation are abundant and have the audience rethink profoundly.
