向佐藤修悅致敬：顛覆造字邏輯的修悅體
Pay tribute to Shuetsu Sato: Shuetsu font that disrupt the logic of text-drawing
摘要
日本車站內數張以膠帶黏貼製作的標語牌誌在社群網路上引發熱潮，它是由保全佐藤修悅先生所製作的「修悅體」，創作初衷是為解決車站內，因施工所導致的指引標示不清問題，隨著網路媒體報導傳播，修悅體走出車站舉辦展覽並商品化。本研究以修悅體為研究對象採用文本分析法，針對佐藤先生受到的訪談內容、出版書籍與文字製作進行分析，探討修悅體文字造形思維與細節歸納。經研究可將修悅體特徵歸納為七點：1.正常情況下文字筆畫寬度均等、2.筆畫以無曲度直線條構成、3.字體架構近似於黑體、4.筆畫轉彎處內外側皆有圓角修飾、5.文字繪製邏輯近似於網格系統的效果，並產生筆畫共線現象、6.文字字面框尺寸一致，且部件會延伸將其完全填充、7.部分部件出現異體字變化現象。而修悅體雖無法達到易辨、易視、易讀的要求，但其與現今字型開發迥異的造字邏輯，顛覆字型開發所慣用的規範、流程，此種創造精神是值得字型設計界關注。

At a railway station in Japan, some slogans have become an overnight sensation on the internet. It is called "Shuetsu font", created by Shuetsu Sato. The concept of this font were meant to solve the problem of ambiguous labeling due to construction, but with the spread of social media, Shuetsu font currently becomes a merchandise and is being showcased in exhibitions. This proposal intended as an investigation of Shuetsu font. Through textual analysis, this research will analyze the thinking of characters figure and other details, which based on interviews with Mr. Sato and his publishing. Through this research, seven characteristics could be summarized as follows: 1. The width of strokes are consistent under normal circumstances. 2. Strokes are composed of straight lines without curvatures. 3. The structure of Shuetsu font resembles Sans-Serif. 4. Fillet will occur at the corner of strokes to smooth it. 5. The logic of drawing Shuetsu font approximates grid system, giving rise to strokes connection. 6. The size of frames are identical, and components would keep extending until it filling the frames. 7. Part of the components would produce a phenomenon of "Variant Chinese characters". In conclusion, although Shuetsu font cannot reach the requirement of visibility, legibility, and readability, it is still worthwhile to pay tribute to this creation for disrupt the traditional process, and creates an entirely different logic of drawing text.
