P. Ramlee is a famous and talented actor, director, singer, composer and producer but his films are the products that were created to represent the local social system. This study will examine the rise of sexual politics in the power relation of gender discrimination towards women where the representation of the images of woman were heavily manifested from a patriarchal perspective that were often projected in P. Ramlee's films. This paper will also examine the representation of the fluid nature of oppressed social class relationships based on the artistic representation of P. Ramlee's films. The conflict of the division of class that exists in the moving images and texts of Ramlee's films stood firm as reference and response to the contemporary social conditions of the 1950s through to the early 70s. This era was also shadowed by the political and cultural policies.
