《論語》<學而篇>「學」之內證

The Immanent Proof of the Idea Learning in the Chapter XueEr of the Analects

摘要


《論語》<學而篇>的「學」,歷來討論汗牛充棟,基本上都認定以德行之學為本。解釋的差別主要在於學張開的範圍多大。本文嘗試簡短地從1.歷史語言學層次;2.詮釋學層次;3.義理生命層次這三個層次,以讀經的方式,透過《論語》<學而篇>文本內部的多層次連接,從《論語》<學而篇>的古典經學脈絡,內在地貫通<學而篇>全篇的理解,進而展開到詮釋學的視域,從詮釋學視域的載體,不只是主體精神,而是打開的生命這個特點,向義理生命的層次展開,揭露其中「學」的生命角色,不只是一種知識意義或者道德價值的認識,而且是進入禮之和的實踐生命活動。

The term "xue" (learning) in the "Xue Er" (Learning and Practice) chapter of the "Lun Yu" (The Analects of Confucius) has been discussed extensively, with a general consensus that it is fundamentally about the learning of moral virtues. The main differences in interpretation lie in the extent to which the concept of learning is expanded. This article attempts to briefly explore the term "xue" from three levels: 1. the historical linguistic level; 2. the hermeneutic level; 3. the level of moral and intellectual life. By reading the text in the traditional way, through the multi-layered connections within the text of "Lun Yu" , it aims to internally integrate the understanding of the entire chapter from the classical context of the "Xue Er" chapter. It then expands into the horizons of hermeneutics, where the carrier of hermeneutic perspective is not only the subjective spirit but also the characteristic of an open life. It unfolds to the level of moral and intellectual life, revealing the role of "xue" in life, which is not only a recognition of knowledge or moral value but also an entry into the practical life activities of harmony in rites.
