東漢末年的亂世之中,誕生了中國思想中絢爛的魏晉玄學。這標誌著道家的復興。劉卲的《人物志》可以視為玄學的端緒,在玄學研究中佔重要地位,〈材理篇〉更是成為魏晉清談的指導規範。然而奇怪的是,如此重要的《人物志》卻較少有單篇論文去探討其間的問題。多數時候討論《人物志》,僅是將其作為論文或專書的一個章節,更有人認為《人物志》缺乏系統性而不適宜寫成單篇論文。因此,將《人物志》與魏晉清談一起討論者,更是少之又少。筆者希望通過研讀《人物志.材理》一篇,將〈材理篇〉與魏晉清談聯結。除討論《人物志》的品鑑人物方法外,更希望探討劉卲是如何在〈材理篇〉中確定論辯的方法、原則,並影響了魏晉清談。
In the chaotic times of the late Eastern Han Dynasty, the brilliant Wei Jin metaphysics in Chinese thought was born. This marked the revival of Taoism. Liu Shao's Characters History can be regarded as the culmination of metaphysics, and it occupies an important position in metaphysical research. "Cai Li" has become the guiding norm for the Wei Jin talks. However, it is strange that such an important "Charles of People" rarely has a single paper to discuss the problems in it. Most of the time, Characters History is discussed only as a chapter of a thesis or a special book. Some people even think that Characters History lacks systemicity and is not suitable to be written as a single paper. Therefore, there are very few people who discuss Characters History with the Wei Jin talks. The author hopes to study the Characters History. An article on "Cai Li" connects with the Wei Jin talks. In addition to discussing the method of appraising characters in Characters History., I also hope to explore how Liu Shao determined the methods and principles of argumentation in the "Cai Li", which influenced the talks of Wei and Jin Dynasties.
