西方主流媒体涉华报道话语分析──以《纽约时报》为例
A Corpus-Based Critical Discourse Analysis of The New York Times' News Report on China
摘要
本文利用LexisNexis数据库，抽取《纽约时报》中国相关新闻，建立中国新闻语料库，通过主题词和词语搭配等方法，从实证视角，分析《纽约时报》涉华新闻报道的宏观话语特点及其所体现的意识形态。同时将批判话语与特定的随机语料相结合，从文本角度分析《纽约时报》中与中国相关的新闻报道如何在潜移默化中将意识形态和权力关系传递给受众，从而引导国际舆论。研究结果表明，受不同时间段政治宣传、时事等因素的影响，《纽约时报》中国新闻报道具有显著的热点议题导向，但整体上反映出对中国政府的偏见和消极评价。

Based on The New York Times' news extracts on China from LexisNexis database, this paper analyses the discourse characteristic from the empirical perspective. From the examination of textual analysis applied on the news reports concerning China, The New York Times uses various ways to construct the discourses and subtly deliver the relationship of ideology and power to the readers in order to guide the public opinion. The research shows that The New York Times has a significant hot topic orientation for Chinese news reports due to the influence of political publicity, current events and other factors at different times, but on the whole, it reflects a biased and negative evaluation of Chinese government.
