The structural mediation of the revolution of streaming media is shaping the new identity of audiovisual industry. Rooted in the political economy of communication, this paper considers the accumulation and circulation of digital capital as a process of communication, and introduces theories of the reproduction of capital, the realization of value, and the acceleration of circulation to explore how the platformization of audiovisual industry can adjust to the global market. First of all, the acceleration of circulation is presented as the revolution of digital distribution. For instance, digital platforms have modified the physical space of the distribution and projection of film, and subsequently, irreversibly reconstructed the consumption of audiovisual content. Then, this paper explores how streaming media are embedded in a series of complicated markets, that is, how they integrate these multiple markets. In doing so, it aims at exposing how "the power of curation" integrates digital platforms into the politics of choice. Apart from these, the state power is able to use compulsory policies to respond to and even participate in the platformization of audiovisual industry. It mediates the creativity of audiovisual industry, which is powered by both capital and technology, and at the same time, enhances the alliance of interests between the government and the audiovisual industry within the frame of "economic development and social governance". In the end, the audiovisual industry is being simultaneously platformized by plural global platforms. "The capitalism of platform" is accelerating the fusion between cultural production and capital circulation, which can reshape the global landscape as well as the future development of audiovisual industry.
