本文主旨在考察《尚書》與《易經》的內在關聯,以詮釋《尚書》包含的深度意義和價值。我們肯定《尚書》作為古代政治領導與管理的歷史記錄,必然預設一個整體的宇宙觀和宇宙產生的文化與人民具體生活形式和方向,同時也包含著一個持久不斷的創造活力以及追求的價值目標,而這兩者正是早期原始易學宇宙觀和生命觀所提供的。但從原始易學宇宙觀到堯舜時代的政治成就卻必須經過一個華夏民族統一的歷史過程,這就是黃帝統合黃土高原歷史的事件。而此一事件的發生則必須基於易學的天人合一宇宙觀實際的農業化的社會發展的進程,其中包含了共同語言的建立,不同族群部落的相互溝通和統合,也包含掌握生命健康的生態醫療系統的建立,這就是黃帝內經所代表的生命體系。這些事件最後在完成其發展的功能之後再經過文化反思,作為春秋戰國時代的甚至更後來的文本建立。但這個可能必須在五帝(顓頊、帝嚳、堯、舜、禹)創造協和萬邦政治文明的基礎上逐步實現,這就是《尚書》所代表的深度含義。其含義一在接受易學的宇宙觀所形成的文化動力,二在實現聖賢政治整合天地人的資源,建立集體存在的政治規範,三在發揮了人性的德性價值,最後在保障古代文明能夠再生成為夏商周文化的實際活動,更在個別的和集體的文明發展意識下創造的重現華夏族群的生命價值和道德理想。在二十一世紀的今天具有復興中華民族文化的潛力,並具有推向人類生命與命運共同體的動力。
It is important to inquire and interpret and thus understand the inner links between SS (Book of History 尚書) and YJ (Book of Changes 易經) as two classics in Confucian tradition. We have to recognize the early life-based observational origins of YJ which enlarges development of Chinese civilization as an agricultural enterprise. This leads to recognition of the unity between man and heaven and thus gives rise to close interactions among the human communities and natural environments of tian (heaven 天) and di (earth 地). The close development of human communities further conduces to unification of early Chinese peoples into a zesty nation with explosive creativity in economy, governmental organization, political leadership, humanist culture, moral education, ethics, arts and medicine. SS as a Cannon Text testifies to important political events and policies, decisions, speeches and actions of sagely leaders in an important stage of Chinese history, and in its own turn makes a glorious Chinese culture and civilization not only actualized with great momentum but also as essentially sustainable in a long term to come in future. This meaningful interpretation of SS gives strong confidence and power to Chinese people today in rebuilding a modern China and contributes its culture in the world at large.
