From the Han Dynasty to the Tang Dynasty, the tradition of commentaries on the classics is based on the principle of "sparing but not refuting comments",therefore, it is often difficult to see possible errors in interpretation. The content of "Book of Songs: 〈 Shuo Ren〉" is based on the marriage of Qi Zhuang Jiang. During the active status process of Zhuang Jiang's marriage, the poet observed many details of this peerless beauty. In poems, the traditional interpretation of the word " cicada to head " is mostly noted as "forehead broad and square". This explanation, upon closer consideration, seems too rough and unconvincing. Mainly because, since the pre-Qin Dynasty, in addition to "The Biography of Mao's Poems", when observing the beauty of a woman's appearance, there is no record of focusing on the forehead. Through combing and analysis in this article, we found that the four characters " cicada to head moth to eyebrow" in the poem "Shuo Ren" actually implicit contain a moral connotation. The most important discovery of this article lies in the explanation of the doubts about " cicada to head " means "wide forehead", and gave a more reasonable interpretation to the word " cicada to head ". The conclusion of this study, the brief explanation of " cicada to head " is "beauty's black hair". The detailed explanation is that "the beauty's hair is as dark and bright as a cicada." In other words, the "beauty's black hair" interpretation of cicada to head " is closer to the truth than the " wide forehead " interpretation.
