The Tapioca starch industry is an essential sector of the food and beverage industry, providing a wide range of products to various markets worldwide. Thailand is the world's largest producer of tapioca, and the crop is used in a variety of products, including animal feed, biofuels, and starch. Thailand has been the biggest country in exporting tapioca starch and China is the biggest importer in the world. The study shows the overall tapioca supply chain from upstream, e.g. farmer, to downstream, e.g. retailer and international markets. Moreover, the study shows the production cost analysis which raw material is the main cost followed by the electricity cost at 84.59% and 6.83% on average, respectively. The average shipping cost is approximately 16.6 USD per ton for the FOB price. In the international market, China plays an important role for Thai exports. The multiple regression model shows the significance of China corn starch price that has a positive correlation with Thailand’s tapioca starch export quantity, holding other things remain constant since corn starch is the substitute product. A SWOT analysis includes the details about the strength of this project and the opportunities with a variety of industries including the green economy.
