This study examines the impact of shared spaces on the sustainable development of social innovation organizations, focusing on Impact Hub Network and Impact Hub Taipei as primary case studies. As social innovation gains increasing importance globally, shared spaces have emerged as a novel working model, providing crucial support for social innovation organizations. The research employs qualitative methods, combining literature analysis, case studies, and in-depth interviews to thoroughly investigate how shared spaces facilitate the development of social innovation organizations. The findings indicate that shared spaces positively influence the sustainable development of social innovation organizations by reducing operational costs, promoting resource sharing, fostering innovative environments, and building community networks. The success of Impact Hub Taipei reveals seven key factors: social change vision, community cohesion, space hosting system, resource learning and sharing, inter-community collaboration, space design and functionality, and the brand effect of the Impact Hub Network. Through a comprehensive member survey and case interviews, the study further validates the effectiveness of these key factors. Results show that Impact Hub Taipei not only provides an economically viable office environment but also creates an ecosystem that promotes knowledge exchange, collaborative innovation, and international connections, effectively supporting the growth and development of social innovation organizations. Based on these findings, the paper offers specific recommendations for shared space operators, social innovation organizations, and policymakers, aiming to further promote the development of the social innovation ecosystem. The research results not only enrich the theoretical knowledge in the fields of shared economy and social innovation but also provide valuable references for practitioners, holding significant implications for advancing social innovation and sustainable development.
