連鎖牙醫體系經營與管理之個案研究

摘要


本論文之目的是透過個案研究方法,回顧、反省個人經營理念之演進,分析個人創立個案牙醫連鎖事業體系中經營策略之變化,進而檢討決定事業經營績效之因素。透過此番探索,本論文期待個案連鎖體系能在市場高度競爭的環境下,持續穩定成長,同時擬定出一套可以長久經營,對病患、對醫師、對員工、及對經營者皆能多贏的加值服務系統,並檢視目前及未來牙醫師開業及經營診所必須面對及思考的關鍵因素,持續優化營運並探索牙醫診所的永續經營之道。 本論文主要發現與建議如下: 第一,本研究以波特(1996)與 Hambrick W. Fredrickson(H F,2001)之理論,對個案牙醫體系進行探索與分析,有利於後續研究者對相關議題進行基礎上之理解。 第二,本研究補強了過去針對牙醫診所經營策略研究的空白,以個案研究的方式探討經營策略對事業的影響程度。此外,透過檢視、比較其他連鎖牙醫診所體系發展過程中的績效,將有助於後續研究者深入了解策略在創業過程中所扮演的角色。 第三,縱使策略議題早已在各管理領域反覆被應用,但本研究以個案分析形式切入牙醫診所連鎖經營的策略分析與檢視,應能有助於策略理論提出更多的案 例與更特定的應用場域。 第四,本研究以時間為縱軸,依據個案創業之成長軌跡進行分析,並檢視 H F 之策略鑽石模型所提出之策略五大要素的選擇與績效間的關係,對個案而言,亦存在反省、檢討功能。

The purpose of this study is to systematically review and critically discuss management of a dental clinic chain in Taiwan through its entire evolution history. Specifically, this study aims at (1) ensuring the stable growth of the chain in a highly competitive environment; (2) developing a management framework which benefits patients, physicians, employers, and employees all together;(3) discussing how the dental chain designs and refines its operating systems to address dynamic changes in customer need and environments in the future. The main contributions and findings of the study are as follows. First, this study analyzes and explores management of the dental clinic chain through the models proposed by Porter (1996) and Hambrick Fredrickson (2001) that are useful for future researchers and practitioners Second, this study shows a lack of research about business models and operating systems specifically designed for dental clinics. By comparing evolution of the case dental chain and other dental clinic chains, this study will help researchers and practitioners better understand the role of entrepreneurship in the dental industry. Third, even though strategic issues have already been discussed extensively in many management areas, this study focuses on the strategy and its implementation of the dental clinic chain in great details. This is much helpful to practitioners. Forth, this study analyzes and traces the growth of the dental entrepreneurship. The study also examines the relationship among performances through the five elements from the perspectives of the Diamond Model as proposed Hambrick Fredrickson.
