全英語主題式教學對五年級學生英語學習態度影響之研究--以英速魔法學院為例

摘要


本研究旨在探討全英語主題式教學對新北市五年級學生的英語學習態度影響。本研究採取問卷調查法、課堂觀察法及學生訪談來蒐集資料,並於蒐集前先探討相關文獻,使用英語學習態度問卷做為研究工具。 依據分析結果獲得以下結論: 一、 全英語主題教學模式對學生的英語學習態度有顯著的影響 1. 全英語主題式教學模式能滿足學生英語學習的意義 2. 全英語主題式教學提供自然的情境學習環境 3. 全英語主題式教學結合生活,能提升學生英語學習的興趣 4. 全英語主題式教學能讓學生產生有效的學習 二、 學生對於英速魔法學院全英語主題式教學活動是滿意及有期待 1. 英速魔法學院讓不同學校學生有機會互相學習,激發學習力 2. 英速魔法學院的教學內容擺脫教材限制,學生認為學習是快樂有趣的 3. 英速魔法學院全英語主題式教學訓練其獨立性 最後,本研究依據研究結果提供國小英語教師、相關教學者及後續研究者之參考。

This research was to explore the impact of the whole English thematic instruction on the fifth-graders’ English learning attitudes in New Taipei City. In this study, questionnaires, classroom observations and student interviews were used to collect the data. The related documents and literature were explored before collecting the data, and the research used English learning attitude survey as the research tool. Based on the analysis results, there were some conclusions below: 1. The teaching mode of the whole English thematic instruction has a significant impact on students' English learning attitudes. a. Whole English thematic instruction could fulfill the meaning of learning English. b. Whole English thematic instruction provided a natural learning environment. c. Whole English thematic instruction connects with students’ daily life, which could increase students’ interests in learning English. d. Whole English thematic instruction could let students study efficiently. 2. Students were satisfied and expected the whole English thematic instruction in English Wonderland. a. English Wonderland gave students from different schools the opportunity to learn from each other and stimulated their learning motivations. b. The teaching contents of English Wonderland were free from textbook restrictions, and students thought that learning was happy and fun. c. The whole English thematic instruction in English Wonderland trained students’ independence. Finally, this research provided elementary school teachers, relevant and follow-up researchers to take the research as a reference based on the results.
