The Investment of Foreign Automotive Companies in Mexico's Electric Vehicle
摘要
本研究探討外國汽車公司在墨西哥的電動車投資情況。全球電動車產業因環保政策及技術進步迅速發展，傳統汽車製造商面臨轉型壓力。墨西哥憑藉其勞動力成本、地理位置及區域經濟協定的優勢，成為外資車企佈局電動車供應鏈的關鍵地點。本文運用文獻研究法與歷史分析法，梳理全球電動車市場趨勢及墨西哥的汽車產業發展現況，重點分析外資車企在墨西哥的投資動機、佈局策略及潛在風險。 研究發現，墨西哥吸引外資的優勢包括完善的供應鏈、相對低廉的勞動成本及接近北美市場的地理位置。然而，投資環境亦面臨制度不確定性與政治風險的挑戰。透過研究墨西哥的電動車產業政策及外資動態，本文指出，全球車企正加速佈局墨西哥以因應供應鏈電動化的需求。同時，中美貿易戰及地緣政治的變化亦進一步強化墨西哥在全球供應鏈中的戰略地位。 本文為墨西哥在電動車產業的發展提供了產業經濟、政策制度及地緣政治分析，對外資車企的投資決策及相關政策制定具有參考價值。

This study explores the investment of foreign automotive companies in Mexico's electric vehicle sector. The global EV industry has rapidly developed due to environmental policies and technological advancements, posing transformation pressures on traditional automotive manufacturers. Leveraging its low labor costs, strategic geographic location, and regional economic agreements, Mexico has emerged as a critical hub for foreign automotive companies to establish EV supply chains. Using literature review and historical analysis, this research examines global EV market trends and the development of Mexico's automotive industry, focusing on the motivations, strategic layouts, and potential risks of foreign automotive investments in Mexico. The findings reveal that Mexico's attractiveness to foreign investors lies in its well-established supply chains, relatively low labor costs, and proximity to the North American market. However, its investment environment faces challenges such as institutional uncertainties and political risks. By studying Mexico's EV industry policies and foreign investment dynamics, this paper highlights how global automakers are accelerating their investment in Mexico to address the demand for EV supply chain electrification. Furthermore, the U.S.-China trade war and geopolitical shifts have further underscored Mexico's strategic role in the global supply chain. This research provides industrial, economic, policy, and geopolitical insights into the development of Mexico's EV industry, offering valuable references for foreign automotive companies' investment decisions and related policy formulation.
